Picture Of The Day | This is a good friend Mike McGowan Fellow Blogger / Beachbody Coach The Les Mills Pump changes the thinking of lifting weights. The most common thinking is to lift heavy weight for 8 to 12 reps bringing your muscles to fatigue. But Les Mills uses a completely different theory called The Rep Effect. With this theory you fatigue your muscles using light to moderate weights at a higher rate of repetition. The Les Mills Pump changes the position, and speed of your movements while using lighter weight. With the Les Mills Pump workout you will perform between 70 and 80 reps per body part. That totals about 800 reps in a single workout, which is 4 times more than a traditional weight workout. The Pump workout encourages 3 Les Mills Pump exercises per week and 2 or 3 other workouts such as cardio, Flow (for active recovery), or Hard Core Abs (for concentrated core work). The Deluxe edition includes 3 additional workouts Step, Sports Attack, and Combat. Included in the box you receive: 7 Les Mills Pump workouts and if you buy the Ultimate package 3 get additional workouts Fitness Guide Nutrition Guide Barbell 2 five pound and 2 ten pound weights 2 barbell collars It really was an incredible workout.
